A3 Poster

We had to create a poster that we could use as a mood board and for help with ideas for our final presentation. I decided to do my research on Pop Art which is in the 50's decade, because I like the bright colours that are used and the style of the art as it makes it more fun and is really eye catching, and it makes things look like cartoon images which I really like.

In my poster I decided to use more text than images, as I thought the text explained really well about Pop Art and it is easy for people to understand.

A3 Timeline

For this unit, we had to create a timeline that shows all of the important art movements from the 19th and 20th century. To do this, we had to research different types of art (such as Realism, Pop Art, Surrealism, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, etc) and write a short description that gave it a date and explained its most important aspect. In our groups we split the workload so that each person had an equal amount of work to do.

I think that creating the timeline helped me to understand how each movement slowly changed over time, including the influences each one gives later on down the line.
